I LOVE this place. I graduate in 2 months and i’m going to miss this restaurant more than anything else in Chicago. My friends and I go here at least every 2 weeks and that’s under-estimating. Best Asian fusion in roger’s park by far and it’s so affordable with great portions. BYOB and they give you glasses and a bottle cooler as soon as you sit down. We have tried almost everything on their menu and my favorite items have to be the fried gyoza, edamame, chicken wings, egg rolls, and the avocado roll for appetizers and for mains I am obsessed with the chicken teriyaki rice bowl, the pad see ew, and the panag curry. They also have cute dessert teas that they offer if you come in for a birthday. Lots of people order online and do pickup - which is totally fine but if you go to dine in it’s an adorable place with beautiful ambiance and unique dishes plus amazing service!

Lovely family owned restaurant. We had 4 or 5 different sushi rolls, very nice. My friend had the orange chicken and raved about how crunchy and yummy the chicken was.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. Staff is welcoming and the food is delicious. The sushi, rice bowls, noodles, and literally everything else is so good. Prices are awesome for the quality. I’ve been eating here for the last year and it is mine and my bfs favorite spot and we have not found sushi better than it is here. I would give this more than 5 stars if I could!

Having lived in the neighborhood for a while, I finally came here for a late lunch and was impressed! The restaurant is very clean and welcoming, and the staff is friendly. There is a pretty large menu of sushi, and more traditional rice / noodle dishes. Was very happy with the food quality and price, and will definitely be coming back here! Pro tip: it's BYOB, so bring a bottle of wine with you!

I went here recently when I was celebrating a special occasion. My friend got some Ramen and I got Orange Chicken. We shared a Crunchy Shrimp Roll and a Spicy California Roll. The food was hot, fresh, and tasted amazingly. The service was direct and wonderful but the smell of seafood was heavy. I understand since there is seafood it will smell a bit fishy but I wish it wasn’t so strong. The seats were a bit uncomfortable too. Other than that, it was good and affordable.

You get what you pay for. The prices are fair with how the food tastes. It isn't the most phenomenal food but it tastes great and appeases your itch for what they offer, especially sushi. Highly recommend!

Good takeout! The poke bowl was a pretty good size. The karaage didn’t come with any sauce which was a bit of a bummer, but I added some honey and soy sauce at home. The thai iced tea was standard. I’d order again.

Had a delicious meal, great service, and calm atmosphere at YATAI. We are vegetarian leaning and there were plenty of options. It was clear to us that the food was freshly made. (Nothing wilty or overcooked.) Will totally go back when we are looking for Asian influenced cuisine with lots of options.
